Stationary type grate, frame encapsulated in concrete, crew aperture 610 [mm], EN124.

  • RAL-GZ, quality sign 692

    • Manufacturer must have obtained ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certificates; 
    • Products are tested not only for static load, but for 12 months in high-intensity traffic;
    • Noise level is measured;
    • Rubber seal longevity test is analysed;
    • «Boarding in the frame» is tested;
    • RAL – quality signs are awarded based on 692 basic quality criteria;
    • RAL publicly available quality criteria, approved by Beuth-Verlag (issuer): «quality is provided by RAL-GZ 692 Kanalguss", or "FV-GET / quality / RAL quality sign / level and test specifications Kanalguss»;
    • Only RAL has the right to use German quality designation „GÜTE“;
    • It is allowed to refer in internatonal tenders / request product compliance with RAL-GZ 692 quality standards and RAL-GZ logo on it;
    • RAL-GZ covers deficiencies in existing standards/regulations by setting additional requirements.

     

    RAL-GZ692 tests:

    • Resistance to fall:


    Cover is loaded in stable position or grate in symmetric load. RAL-GZ 692 stipulates that is must be loaded and it shall bear 1,5x larger force as it is necessary for the respective class.

    • Turnover characteristics:


    Cover is loaded in stable position or grate in dyanmic asymmetrical load. RAL-GZ 692 stipulates that is must be loaded and it shall bear 1,5x larger force as it is necessary for the respective class.

    • Isolating gasket characteristics:


    Padding increases endurance and stability, as well as reduces noise level. Under load depending on density of the padding, the padding impresses in the cover or grate. If the difference between loading and relief is too large, it may create «trampoline effect». Maximum allowed deformation is 3mm.

    • Product performance in practice:


    Compliance with RAL-GZ 692 standard is reliable assurance for product longevity and quality. Prior to certificate granting, the product is tested for 12 months in high intensity traffic, during which defects are being recordedand differentiated (technological and contructive). If the product shows systemic and continuous defects over 12 months of operation, their causes shall be averted and product shall be tested repeatedly in nature. After successful completion of testing, the product is awarded RAL-GZ 692 certificate.
